COMMUNITY SYSTEMS FOUNDATION

CSF is a not-for-profit foundation registered in Michigan, USA in 1963. CSF is dedicated to improving quality of life through applied research and technical assistance to communities and governmental agencies. CSF develops information technology for management information systems, geographic information systems, institution building, social welfare programme design, management training, technical support services, data dissemination, technical publications, scientific research and evaluation methodologies. The foundation's international reputation for the successful implementation of innovative information systems is built on over 40 years of collaboration with various international development groups, including, UNDP, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, The World Bank and USAID. CSF has carried out projects in more than seventy countries in the Americas, Asia and Africa. The Foundation has a strong presence in South Asia where it has implemented projects since 1985. The Foundation has expanded the use of expertise from developing countries in the implementation of its projects, particularly with respect to the use of South Asian expertise in software development. The Foundation promotes the improvement of the status of women and children in all aspects of its project development and implementation.
