The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) recently released an innovative and interactive tool called the Decomposition of Future Population Growth, which provides critical information on population growth at the global, regional and national levels.
A UN system wide pilot called the “Delivering as One” approach is bringing together multiple UN agencies in 8 countries to capitalize on their shared strengths and comparative advantages in line with the Paris Declaration and Accra Agenda for Action, thereby enhancing the UN’s overall coherence, comparative advantage and impact while working towards reducing the transaction costs for the UN in those pilot countries. Rwanda is one of the pilot Delivering as One countries.
Six staff members from UN Women Burundi and one from UN Women Rwanda attended a workshop to master di Monitoring, an intuitive web-based monitoring and evaluation application built on DevInfo technology. The Training of Trainers, which took place December 17-21 in Bujumbura, focused on ensuring that the UN Women Burundi team could transfer their annual work plan, currently in Word format, into an interactive di Monitoring framework.
