The indicators are organized according to the following sectors: demography, health, education, living conditions, work, investment, and child protection plans. Furthermore, the indicators are sorted according to the eight Millennium Development Goals. Some of the indicators include: Child Nutrition, Children and Adolescents Deaths, Illiteracy, Population Mbya Guarani Vulnerability Index (developed by UNICEF), Public Spending on Children, and many more. At the same time, social programs are monitored: universal child allowance, health centers, homes deliveries, better living, zero hunger, and connect equality among others.
The project's success is due to the constant dedication of Juan Jose Sosa, Coordinator of the Centre for Social Policies, Children and Adolescents, and Liliana Pedrazzini, Director of Advocacy and Development Interior Province of Misiones. In their own words, they explain: “These systems are powerful tools to investigate, get to know the reality, and to transform it. They help make decisions based on real information, evidence, and to also promote the development of a smart government.” It’s important to highlight that free access to this type of information is a new concept, a paradigm based on the democratization of knowledge, which breaks with the idea of ??population data confidentiality. Increasingly, many more officers are encouraged to open their doors and disseminate information.
Currently through a specialized technical group trained by the UNICEF-Argentina team, the observatory offers workshops aimed at technical teams, Missions Ministries, Governments of the 75 municipalities and the public in overview of the tools available. Pedrazzini and Sosa explain: "As a technical team committed to our work, we recognize the power of DevInfo and will continue to develop it one step further in 2012 as in 2013. We will spread the use in the provinces of Misiones, and allow citizens to, as our logo states, ‘Know us more.’"
