The results and echoes of the workshop have been extremely positive, with a 95% positive evaluation by participants. As a result of the first workshop, several articles came out that covered a diversity of issues (child labour, adolescent pregnany, sexual education) and that were documented in the InfoArgentina website.
“The idea is that InfoArgentina, the most comprehensive and reliable source of information on children in the country, is used to produce robust evidence on child rights with plenty of accurate data,” says Andres Franco, UNICEF Argentina representative. “Our first workshop yielded encouraging results with many evidence-based articles and blogs – including the fact that one of the most influential Tweet Stars and data junkies in the country published a “Storify” (a platform that lets users aggregate and display photos, tweets and other social content sourced across the web) on domestic violence using the data provided by the platform in a non-traditional language.”
