By making the information available in any of its databases to be published in a SDMX format, DevInfo is a leader in driving statistical standards for socioeconomic data. Users can organize, store, access, display, analyze, and share human development data in a uniform way by using SDMX-ML format.
DevInfo 7.0, which was launched in October 2012, allows users to subscribe to notifications whenever new information is entered in an SDMX compliant and registered database. The notification service will send an email to the user announcing all published data relevant to the subscription request.
If a National Statistics Office creates a DevInfo database that contains socio-economic statistics, global organizations tracking human development can now get a message and feed their own system every time the National Statistics Office updates the database. On the domestic level, any government agencies or ministries can receive information in real-time rather than waiting for end-of-year reports. Finally, anyone with some coding experience can use the SDMX files to create exciting interactive visualizations and ensure that each time new data comes in, these visuals are updated accordingly.
