Public data to monitor childhood development
2016 UNICEF Spain
A public data dashboard on childhood development in Spain to support evidence-based decision-making.
UNICEF Spain, working with the country’s Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equity, has developed an online data repository covering a vast range of indicators on the situation of children in the country.
The data is updated biennially, conforming to a set of indicators compiled by the ministry and using a standardized template for uniform reporting. UNICEF Spain maintains the dashboard using a customized administrator panel.
The website’s statistics and figures are used by government institutions, civil society, donors, and academia to analyze social policies and understand the current state of education, childhood health, family and social environment, and childhood vulnerability.
