OpenEMIS Cote d'Ivore Scoping Mission

​The OpenEMIS scoping mission to Cote d-Ivoire provided a strategy for the Ministry of Education to improve their national education management information system. 

In 2018, the OpenEMIS team conducted a scoping mission to Cote d’Ivoire to help the government assess its data management system and to develop a strategy that would orient it towards utilizing OpenEMIS to collect, manage and disseminate education data.

The scoping mission incorporated a needs assessment and gap analysis in-country to complete fact-finding activities organized in partnership with the Ministry and key stakeholders. In addition, the scoping mission included an analysis of data collection tools, and of the environment and infrastructure in place for adopting innovative new solutions, with a comparison of capabilities of existing and suggested tools. ​
