Developing the Capacity of Country Users to Sustainably use the Data For All Toolkit

With UNICEF Sierra Leone and Statistics Sierra Leone (SSL), Community Systems Foundation enhanced the country’s ability to disseminate data and to deploy the DFA platform sustainably. 

SSL has been using the Data For All platform since 2017. With a desire to build independent dashboards and to publish the database with an active data manager, Community Systems Foundation assisted focal points in Sierra Leone, both in country and remotely. This support helped colleagues in the country to build a dashboard with data on demography, health, education, employment status, and drinking water and sanitation. This was done using the DFA Dashboard Builder. 

Through a capacity development mission in the country, Sierra Leone is now hosting Sierra Leone Info on its own servers and aims to continue collecting data to ensure the platform can be utilized fully in support of evidence-based decision-making. ​
