NSO Zanzibar Dashboard to Support Data Dissemination on Socioeconomic Indicators and SDGs

As a first step in autonomous database management, CSF staff assisted national counterparts in Zanzibar to establish a database and to create a dashboard featuring socioeconomic information and the SDGs. 

Beginning in 2019, continued it’s work with TSED Tanzania on Zanzibar Info. To support, independently, data collection and management, focal points in Zanzibar requested a database system that would support data disaggregation by SDGs, themes,  and goals.

With ongoing work to collect more information for SDGs and national priorities, the statistics office in Zanzibar also expressed the need for a data-driven dashboard to support the decision making process in the country. 

Over the course of the project, CSF supported with two in-country trainings to ensure the sustainability of the tools and that the users of the applications could properly use the tools to measure progress on the national agenda of Zanzibar (Mkuza) and the SDGs. ​
