OpenEMIS Saint Kitts and Nevis Needs Assessment, Gap Analysis and EMIS rollout OpenEMIS supports sector reform in Saint Kitts and Nevis and intends to support monitoring of the 2017–2021 Education Sector Plan.
The Ministry of Education, Saint Kitts and Nevis (MOESKN) requested technical assistance on the use of OpenEMIS to support evidence-based decision making in the education sector. For the first time, Saint Kitts is now utilizing digital education sector plan monitoring. Having previously been on a paper-based system, OpenEMIS will enable the Ministry to pursue work more efficiently and reduce the data reporting cycle, ensuring plans are progressing as projected. The Ministry is implementing OpenEMIS in response to the growing needs of remote learning in the country. One major challenge in the country was that there was not a good system in place to understand the list of students who were and need to be receiving online learning.
