Monitoring framework for the Joint Programme on Female Genital Mutilation FGM Monitoring uses a standard framework to keep track of core indicators for the UNFPA- UNICEF Joint Programme on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
CSF’s DevInfo (Di) Monitoring platform is a royalty-free, web-based monitoring system that allows agencies to report against their development plan. Since 2015, CSF has supported UNFPA and UNICEF in their effort to monitor progress against Female Genital Mutilation by enhancing the Di Monitoring system and helping to populate the framework with relevant indicators. Coming off the success of DevInfo, CSF created the Data for All (DFA) system to improve on DevInfo and create new, innovative tools to better monitor successes in reducing FGM. This includes the ability for financial reporting, global aggregation of indicators, and a dynamic, interactive dashboard. In 2017, CSF assisted 16 countries in the Joint Programme in migrating their frameworks from Di Monitoring to DFA Monitoring through an aggregated global framework. By assisting more countries in integrating the DFA system, efforts by UNFPA and UNICEF will become easier as more countries standardize their FGM monitoring processes.
