Life-Saving Commodities Practitioners’ Network The Life-Saving Commodities Network is a website designed to increase access and use of essential medicines, medical services and health supplies that effectively address causes of death during pregnancy, childbirth, and into childhood.
As a part of the Every Woman Every Child movement of the UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities for Women’s and Children’s Health, a number of working groups are carrying forward the work of the Commission by implementing its recommendations and coming up with knowledge tools. The Strategy and Coordination Team (SCT) is gathering country and regional data on the 13 essential commodities. The website hosts these knowledge tools and commodities and makes them available to decision makers, practitioners and influencers involved in the RMNCH (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child Health) field so they can make informed decisions on best health practices. Users can access information on topics of reproductive health, maternal health, family planning, newborn health, child health, supply chain strengthening, global markets and policy/regulation, digital health, advocacy, and demand/access. If users need assistance, they can access the Expert Network and find the expert they need by topic, country, or language.
