Improving National Education Data Dissemination with OpenEMIS  Community Systems Foundation is working with UNICEF to develop the National Data Dissemination Portal for Nigeria to facilitate data-driven decision-making at the national, state and local levels.
To facilitate data-driven decision-making at different level of government, CSF has developed the National Data Dissemination Portal, an interactive and web-based visualization platform, compiling education data for a range of sources. CSF built the portal to integrate with existing national data systems. The data gathered and owned by the state Ministry can now be disseminated and presented through dashboards, reports and administrative level profiles. The platform also includes a Geographical Information System (GIS) portal, providing access to the first ever mapping of schools across Nigeria.

This is a very good initiative. But I want to call the attention of the Unicef to the fact that the National Data Warehouse is built in NBS, National Bureau of Statistics as the Coordinator and custodian of the entire official statistics as provided by the Statistics Act 2007. The then Devinfo is coordinated by NBS and the national focal officer is in NBS. Leave a Reply. |
