Capacity development to enhance the use of data

An advanced lab training for data managers from the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) helps the country prepare to monitor its progress towards the sustainable development goals.

Developed to provide quick access to statistical data and monitor the Millennium Development Goals for Rwanda, NISR’s DevInfo portal (including web and desktop tools) are used today to monitor progress towards Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2017, CSF conducted an advanced lab training focused on database updates, tagging SDGs to existing indicators, re- structuring of the database to accommodate the SDGs, hands-on training on integrating new geographic levels of maps, and orientation on the latest developments on Data for All suite.
