Kapp, Executive Director, Community Systems Foundation Rakkshet Singhaal, Programme Associate, Community Systems Foundation UNICEF has released the National Immunization Strategy Costing App (NIS.Cost App), on - immunizationeconomics.org - a community resource on the economics of immunization. CSF partnered with UNICEF to design and develop this app.
The NIS.Cost App is designed to provide countries with an app for high-level planning of immunization strategy, that can analyze the population dynamics. Built in Google Sheets, this app guides users through the process of costing immunization, linked to the national vaccination strategic plan and overall budgetary procedures. WHO developed the National Immunization Strategy (NIS) to guide immunization stakeholders' actions over the next decade in order to achieve the goals set out in the Immunization Agenda 2020 (IA2030), which envisions a world where everyone, everywhere, at every age, fully benefits from vaccines to improve health and well-being. The NIS.COST App builds on the experience of the comprehensive Multi-Year Planning (cMYP) Costing and Financing Tool, whose goal was to make it easy to estimate past costs and financing for immunization by expanding upon the ability to aid in making future projections of resource requirements and funding and to analyze the corresponding In a continuing agreement with UNICEF, CSF will provide technical assistance in the deployment and use of the NIS.COST App in the year ahead.
