Community Systems Foundation (CSF) partnered with UNFPA Djibouti and the government of Djibouti to assist decision makers in better understanding the status of Gender-Based Violence cases in the country.
CSF with the support of the UNFPA developed the information management system to streamline the process of monitoring GBV cases and smoothen the legal processes. It provides departments the capacity to deal with GBV cases and survivors by providing a common data hub. Currently, most of the documentation is done on paper, causing delays in inter-agency coordination regarding a matter. Partners registering a GBV case were not able to adequately track its progress due to the lack of an established information management system. CSF worked with the government to simplify the IMS and make the process more efficient. This process allowed data to be in an online space, allowing for greater coordination and efficiency. To ensure ease of implementation, CSF is developing a mobile application as well as a web based application that will be used by all partners under the key pillars - social, health and justice.
